Working and travelling through many wine-making regions on the European Continent gave Nick, their wine maker, insight into the lighter wine styles, keenly sought after by the local village people for their fresh fruit driven flavours.

Moorilla's Praxis Pinot Noir is a contemporary Tasmanian expression of new-world wine techniques. Generous, plush, mouth filling. A plunging amalgam of cherry, dried strawberries and ripe black fruits. Acidity here is supporting and soft, the emphasis is on the bold flavour. In memory of Ian ”Lee” Patrick Carr, an outstanding dad, friend and viticulturist. This unblended single origin Pinot Noir was harvested from one manually maintained vineyard block of the family estate, 33 years after planting. Matured in French oak. Bursting aromas of dark berries, cherries and orange zest. Silky smooth and lively acid, dried herbs and red currant. Match with grilled meat or strong cheese.

This is a medium coloured pinot noir. The bouquet is fresh, complex and bright with raspberry, cherry and herbal notes. The palate is finely structured and intense, with precision and balance. It has silky, smooth tannins and a lingering finish. Very fine. Limited release of 6977 bottles, individually numbered.i

A little smoky and spicy, fine boned and cool in 'minerally' acidity, cherries, raspberries offset with a subtle sappy tang, fine emery tannin, and a long stony cherry pip and floral finish. Responds beautifully to air. More to come.
