This fine mature tawny is made from the Barossa’s traditional tawny varieties, Grenache, Mataro and Shiraz, and has been blended to an average age of a 10-year-old wine. This exhibits a sweet and mellow palate with developed fruit and oak tannin characters.This tawny wine is assessed and re-blended into a solera-based system, enabling us to consistently release wines of such high quality. Only a strictly limited quantity of 10-year-old tawny is drawn from the solera for bottling each year, and the barrels are topped up with selected younger wine.

Made from single vineyard to bottle. Low yields cool climate grapes from Nangkita. Deep sandy soil and limestone beneath, rich in elements for natural aromas and flavours. The wine is dark plum with lifted complex oak aroma. The palate has full flavour with rich berry fruit, warm, rich and intense. Upfront and splendidly appealing, the wine shows blackberry, sweet cherry, rich floral and vanillin oak notes, followed by a beautifully weighted palate that's plump and juicy, finishing lingering and silky. Deep and bright colours with a purple hue, the Optimist Shiraz also offers aromas of lifted satsuma plum, raspberry, violet flower, with a hint of cherry oak. The palate is bursting with bright fresh blue fruits, a rich middle palate with lots of satsuma plum and dark cherries. We've been intently following Alex Head for a while now, producing a unique set eye opening Barossan wines, inspirationally drawn from his passion towards Northern Rhone Syrah. Soil and aspect is therefore every much key, imparting style and character and this new release Head Red is no exception. Judiciously used oak allows the deliciously juicy, dark and spicy fruit to shine with an impeccably moorish, savoury structure.

Sorby Adams Neptune Rings is a premium red wine range of signature Barossa grape varieties sourced from the region's finest soils. This collection honors our ancestor, John Couch Adams, who, along with fellow mathematicians, proved the existence of the planet Neptune in the 1840s. His name is immortalized in one of Neptune's five rings. Galle is another ring of Neptune and is our signature Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon wine. This wine showcases a dark, brick-red color with a magenta hue and features complex aromas of cherry and plum. On the palate, rich black cherry and plum flavours come alive, accompanied by hints of licorice and mint, all with impressive length and finesse. It has been matured in French oak hogsheads (30% new) for 24 months, using air-dried wood from Francois Frere and Taransaud Coopers. The grapes are sourced from Angaston in the Eden Valley and Ebenezer in the Barossa Valley. It is enjoyable now and has the potential to age beautifully until 2038. This wine is sealed with QORK.

As rare as it is special – Morticia Sparkling Barossa Shiraz holds a special place in the Simon Sorby Adams' 45 years of winemaking. At it's heart is his most celebrated wine - The Thing Barossa Old Vine Shiraz - which forms the base wine to this sparkling, from vintages 2017, 2018 and 2019. The palate delivers a seductive explosion of rich black berry fruits with a touch of sweetness balanced by fresh acidity and a long dry finish. The expedition liquer that was added to the wine at bottling is a beautifully aged Barossa brandy spirit. This wine is made for drinking now, too good to keep, just enjoy!

Colour is deep red. The nose shows aniseed, tar, FruChocs and spicy oak. The fine palate entry has mulberry, cranberry, aniseed and liquorice flowing delicately with Rhone-like spicy, chewy, savoury tannins.
