Angove Bin 256 Chardonnay

With 130 years of expertise under the family’s belt, Angove have plenty of experience to call upon. In recent years they have been awarded ‘Winery of the Year’ and many medals besides for individual wines. Fourth generation John Angove now heads up the cellar that Dr William Angove started in 1886 near Adelaide (by making award winning brandy – a product they’re still famous for) and, besides championing unusual grapes, John also pioneers modern styles of wine. His 2018 turns its back on the weighty, golden, heavily oaked Chardonnays of last century and embraces bright stone fruit, shot through by lemony brilliance. No wonder this grape is back in favour.

Trimboli Salvatore Trebbiano

The 2019 Trimboli “Salvatore” Trebbiano has scooped a Gold medal at the Australian Italian Varietal Awards Wine Show. The wine then went on to receive the Trophy at the same show and then…….. Sa, whho has won hhundreds and hundreds of Golds over the years (plus some MAJOR Trophhies) hhas always handled this Italian white grape superbly, and you will love it every bit as much as the show judges. White fruit, elegant chharm and a lick of French oak. Delicious!

Boscwood Petit Verdot Shiraz

You don’t often see Bordeaux’s inky Petit Verdot blended with spicy Shiraz. But here in Australia, there are no rules so winemakers are free to blend them. The result? Gorgeous layers of dense black fruit with a rich helping of smoky spice. This is a beautiful wine that “tip toes and tapdances over your palate”.

The Stubborn Few Rose

This is a celebration of The Stubborn Few - A minority who, threw caution to the wind and forged the way for modern Australian wine making. One of them, a South Australian, defied preconceptions and invented wine cask, breaking the rules just to keep his wine fresh. A box makes perfect sense. Its airtight, economical and environmentally friendly. The Stubborn Few Rose is bright and displays fruity flavours of fresh strawberries and pink grapefruit. So kick back and raise a glass to thinking outside of the box.

Yarrunga Field Special Reserve White

The best modern Aussie whites offer an abundance of sun-ripened fruit balanced by crisp, zingy refreshment. None more so than Yarrunga Field, and the 2018 is as fruity and fresh as ever.

Yalumba Organic Shiraz

Crimson with violet hues. Spiced plums and peppercorns with fruit cake and forest floor aromas. The palate is a mix of violets and spice with hints of dutch licorice and lingering plum and cherry flavours. This is a fruit driven, medium bodied wine with soft, silky tannins and a savoury, persistent finish.

Jimmy Wines Sauvignon Blanc

Vibrant and overflowing with intense aromas of ripe gooseberry and minerals. The palate is fresh and fruity with flavours of passionfruit and citrus, finishing clean, crisp and dry. Enjoy with smoked salmon and capers or a Mediterranean style green salad with feta, olives and lemon vinaigrette.
