We're really pleased by what we now find in the glass a fine, elegant, luxurious sparkling wine that is rich and complex in aroma and flavour, yet still retains the fundamental verve and freshness of the authentic non-vintage style. Its cool Tasmanian origins are as clear as a bell. The palate carries our region's Chardonnay-driven crisp, citrusy acidity which helps define the wine's classic structure and food-friendly character.

Richard Angove was very lucky to have grown up in a winemaking family. Since 1886, five generations of his family have worked in winemaking and grape growing. In 2008 he worked harvest in the beautiful Tamar Valley in northern Tasmania. He just loved the landscape, vineyards and flavours of the wines. Many years later when the opportunity arose to work with a number of small growers to create a range of small batch wines, he could not resist the opportunity, and so Lost Farm Wines was born.

The Rockford Eden Valley Riesling 2023 is a testament to the unique terroir of the Eden Valley, high in the Barossa Ranges. NOSE Chamomile, Honey, Lime The nose is complex and inviting, with aromas of chamomile and delicate floral notes. A hint of honey adds richness, while lime and yuzu provide a fresh, zesty edge that draws you in. PALATE Pineapple, Pear, Dried Dates The palate is full of generous, ripe fruit flavours, including fresh pineapple, pear, and dried dates. The wine has a wonderful balance of richness and freshness, with subtle notes of lavender and a hint of chalky grip that adds texture. FINISH Long, Lime, Honey The finish is long and harmonious, with the lime and honey notes lingering delicately on the palate, making for a refreshing and satisfying conclusion.

Bream Creek Pinot Noir from Southern Tassie is big and ripe with gentle pepper nuances. Punchy, dried dark stone fruits, fruit cake and dark roasted herbs are present while the palate rolls out very ripe tannins that swerve from side to side, bringing rich plum flavour and a big juicy finish.

The cooler climate of Tasmania has helped to produce a wonderful Riesling; full of flavour and acid. Given these characters are in abundance, this wine should cellar for decades.
