Bunnamagoo Shiraz
The nose shows complex savoury, earthy, bramble aromas with lifted American oak. The palate is medium bodied with bright red currant and hints of spice and blackberry.
Capcanes Mas Donis Blanc
Oliver's Taranga Fiano
Philip Shaw The Gardener Pinot Gris
The Gardener is pale straw yellow with a slight green hue. The nose is vibrant. An elegant yet generous wine, it displays lifted nashi pear, nectarine and citrus with a spicy backbone. There is a lovely texture to the palate without taking away from the freshness and purity of the fruit.
Krinklewood Vineyard Verdelho
Pale straw with a green hue, this Hunter Valley biodynamic wine has a lifted nose of citrus blossom and freshly cut grass. Citrus and orange blossom carry onto the palate and are layered with soft luscious fig characters. A refreshing zesty finish. Enjoy this wine young & fresh with seafood or asian-styled cuisine. 'Certified biodynamic and organic, there's a sub-tropical fruit salad in here bursting to get out via a vibrant bite and crunch - think apple an pineapple with squeeze of lemon - finishing with fine, moreish mouth feel. Food: Grilled dory, pineapple, coriander salsa.' - Daily Telegraph, Sydney, 15 Apr 2014, by Tony Love.
Scarborough Green Label Semillon
This is a superb example of the famous Hunter Semillon. Alternate in style and fuller in flavour, with tropical, grassy, lifted characters and a zesty palate. 'Today's selections are all comparatively low in alcohol - light bodied but tasty wines delivering great drinking pleasure. Semillon seems a natural starting point as, along with prosecco and riesling, the variety develops ripe flavours before grape sugar levels (and hence alcohol levels) climb too high. The warm Hunter region excels at the style but sometimes requires cellaring to soften the austere acids. But Scarborough's version offers a soft, easy -drinking expression of the variety, with bright, lemongrass like flavour and snappy, bone-dry finish.' - Sunday Canberra Times, 03 Mar 2013, by Chris Shanahan
Wild Oats Mudgee Shiraz
A supple, rounded Shiraz with appealing plummy fruits, a touch of spice and generous tannin, produced from Oatley family vineyards at Mudgee. Wil prove a fine par tner to richer flavoured red meat dishes.
Borambola Wishing Well Sauvignon Blanc
The Sauvignon Blanc offers intense passionfruit, guava and lime aromas with a hint of herbaceousness. The palate offers generous fruit flavours supported by crisp acid. The wine shows the potential of Sauvignon Blanc in Orange NSW. Good youthful straw colour. Delicate tropical nose exhibiting guava and lime. The palate is crisp, good mouth-feel, medium-full body, lovely zesty lime & lemon.
Leeuwin Estate Siblings Sauvignon Blanc
Blend of two-thirds Sauvignon Blanc and one-third Semillon gets a touch of barrel aging, reflected in its silky texture more than any overt aromas or flavours. The palate is fruit-forward, offering hints of citrus, under ripe nectarine and green apple, finishing long and mouth-watering. Overall a youthful and vibrant blend.
