Johnnie Walker King George V was created to celebrate the Royal Warrant given in 1934 to the Walker family to mark the exceptional qualities of their whiskies. The King George has more restraint and sophistication courtesy of the Port Ellen Distillery component that is powerful, slow and resonant. It initially shows a profound smoky aroma followed by sweet, fresh fruit (apples, pears, bananas) malt characteristics; developing into rich dried fruit and spicy complexity, raisins, figs and cinnamon. The palate is smooth with a rich, fruity sweetness. Warming with subtle flavours of sandalwood and smoke. Taste is powerful, complex, rich yet smooth. Named after the first mention of Scotch Whisky in the Exchequer Rolls of Scotland, 1495 is a master blend of malt and grain whiskies that comes from generations of experience.

Dimple 15 Year Old Scotch has fragrant tones that are almost tones of perfume mellowing to a sweet buttery aroma. Flavoursome and light, nothing spicy or harsh. The finish is delicate and maybe a gesture of dark chocolate hiding in there.

This special Laphroaig is crafted from carefully selected casks from each of the distillery's key styles - with one notable addition. The heart of this single malt is drawn from a final maturation in new American Oak casks, a rarity used for Scotch whisky maturation. With spirit selected by the master distiller from Quarter Cask, PX Cask and Triple Wood (European Oak casks) and a final addition of 10 Year Old, the whisky represents a subtle blending of peat, oak and sweetness.
