A Barossa blend of equal parts Grenache and Shiraz, with some savoury Mataro too, the red and black fruits fuse to create a ripe and smooth core that is big but never overbearing. This limited release Shiraz shows a deep red hue. Extremely ripe fragrances of dark cherry, blackberry and blueberry flow off the vibrant nose, followed by scents of coconut, mocha and chocolate. The rich palate mirrors these characters, and enhanced by silky tannins as well zingy acidity, ends in a persistent finish. This wine can either be consumed immediately upon release, or cellared for 5 to 10 years.
