Forrest Estate now have vineyards in premium Otago and Gimlett Gravels but grapes for Field of Stones Sauvignon are pure Marlborough, grown on the very stony soil adjacent to the Forrest winery, hence the name ‘Field of Stones’. The fruit is harvested in the cool of the night and early morning to maximise the mineral freshness and the lemon thyme, elderflower and guava flavours. Bring on the seafood platter!

Isabel Estate Chardonnay exudes bright, ripe fruit such as grapefruit and lemon with upfront acidity. Complex aromas of sweet nuttiness, ripe figs and a touch of melon follow closely by with delicious nougat and caramel. Finish is creamy and lingering. Not one to miss.

Josef Chromy's Pinot Gris delivers a fresh, zesty flavour profile of ripe apricot, pear and subtle hints of ginger. The grapes are harvested quite ripe in order to give the palate its full, rich weight and texture with a beautifully balanced, lingering zesty finish. A great pairing with a Risotto or Calamari.

Deep purple with purple hues. Perfumed on the nose with dark cherry and plum aromas together with violets and savoury leather, mushroom and smoky char. Concentrated, sweet plum and black cherry flavour on the palate together with spice, leather and hints of oak char. A complex, medium-bodied wine which a sample fine-grained tannins together with a touch of minerality on the long finish.

Vibrant, crisp green apple, pear and peach flavours are accented by notes of lemon zest, toasted biscuit, honeycomb and dried white flowers. Finishes with a refreshing jolt of acidity. Drink now

This wine is principally from the Rocky Point Vineyard, which is home to some of the steepest blocks in Central Otago. Elegant vines grow on top of an underlay of schist rock providing high mineraltity and spice to the grapes whilst above the surface we see an abundance of wild thyme.

The dried raspberry, lemon curd and Asian pear flavours are crisp and detailed, with notes of white flowers, five-spice powder and toast leading to a long, lingering, juicy finish. Offers an appealing mix of power and finesse. Drink now.

Rapaura Springs have turned plenty of heads with their current releases - the Reserve Pinot Noir is little short of jaw dropping. Drinking beautifully now expect a nose that's ripe, plush and jammed full of seductive fruit and spice smells, while textbook silky mouth-feel leads to a long fine finish.
