Vasse Felix produces fine Margaret River reds with great balance and style. Ben Riggs has hand-crafted a delicious Shiraz Cabernet Merlot blend here that pays homage to the three-spiked prickle that can be found in the McLaren Vale region and the fact that it's hard to ignore. This unctuous red blend is also extremely hard to ignore with its seamless varietal integration that produces a wine full of richness and opulence. Ripe, dark berry fruits courtesy of Merlot along with spice elements from the Shiraz and a firm, but balanced structure from the Cabernet all come together superbly.

In 1843, Dr Lindeman, an upstanding man of formidable character, started his own winery. In doing so, he set his sights on civilising a colony of hard-drinking ruffians by introducing them to more gentlemanly pursuits, such as the enjoyment of a refined drop. This longheld tradition continues today with this stately Shiraz, plush with plums, a hint of raspberry, and a dash of fortified wine for a smooth finish. A fine wine by anyones standard.

Full-bodied dry red. Deep red with purple hues, rich plum, blackberry and spice overlaid with vanillin oak. Layered blackberry, raspberry and mulberry with chocolate, spice and silky tannins and a wonderfully textured finish.

A beautifully fragrant nose of blackberry and all spice. The palate is long and luscious, displaying excellent fruit intensity with black and blueberries and a hint of black pepper.
