Sitting proudly next to the iconic Woodhenge gate at Wirra is a classic Aussie residence. Michel Chapoutier has been able to do it again! A savoury masterpiece from the southern Rhône appellation of Luberon. A spicy blend of Grenache and Syrah that displays intense varietal characters of nutmeg and black pepper. The palate, while medium-bodied, is quite forceful with robust flavours of blueberry and blackberry fruits. Great use of older oak has also assisted this Luberon be a brilliant follow on from the every popular Chapoutier Côteaux-du-Tricastin.

Temple Bruer is one of the leading lights when it comes to Preservative Free wines. Joining the already outstanding Preservative Free Cabernet Merlot, the Shiraz has all the hallmarks of great Langhorne Creek Shiraz with a rich, velvet mouthfeel of red berries with a hint of coffee bean.

Church Block first appeared back in 1972 under the watchful eye of Greg Trott and was taken by one of the original vineyards that ran alongside the small Bethany Church, across the road from Wirra Wirra's old ironstone cellars. Over the last 4 decades, it has become one of Australia's favourites. The 2005 Church Block is showing just what a little patience can do. After six years, the velvet texture is the dominant feature with integrated tannin taking a backseat.

The Black Shiraz is an extreme example of this style, deep colour, huge palate and high alcohol. The Black Shiraz upholds the tradition with strong blackberry and plum aromas over toast, vanillan and spice. The palate is full flavoured and intense with rich blackberry, plum, blueberry and spicy characters. The tannins are very ripe and dense giving great structure and length to the palate.

Full-bodied dry red. Deep red with purple hues, rich plum, blackberry and spice overlaid with vanillin oak. Layered blackberry, raspberry and mulberry with chocolate, spice and silky tannins and a wonderfully textured finish.

Estate grown and fermented in small open top fermenters, our Shiraz shows plummy, red cherry, savoury and spice fruits with balanced acidity and tannins. Matured in /french oak for 24 months.

The Red Claw is the complimenting range to the estate Yabby Lake wines that call the Mornington Peninsula home. This Shiraz though is sourced from the Cambrian rich soils of Heathcote, a region which has quickly become one of Australia's premier Shiraz growing areas. Dark berry and spice dominated, there are underlying notes of pepper and crushed herbs. Fermented in 100% French Oak, there is a subtlety to this Shiraz that lends itself to many cuisine matches.
