Tyrrell's Fordwich Verdelho forms part of the 'Regional Heroes' range that aims to showcase small parcels of fruit from terroir that is perfectly suited to their chosen varietal. Here the Fordwich Verdelho is show intense varietal characteristics including vibrant lime, tropical fruit and a nice hint of spice on the back palate. An extremely well balance aromatic white that has intense fruit sweetness and a crisp, dry, searing acid finish.

A portion of the wine was fermented with indigenous wild strains of yeast and this was blended with traditional barrel fermented and lees-stirred components. The result is a multi-layered wine in the traditional opulent Bunnamagoo style.

Classic lemon and lime zestiness balanced by fleshier citrus fruit on the palate. Elegant, fresh finish.

This is a superb example of the famous Hunter Semillon. Alternate in style and fuller in flavour, with tropical, grassy, lifted characters and a zesty palate. 'Today's selections are all comparatively low in alcohol - light bodied but tasty wines delivering great drinking pleasure. Semillon seems a natural starting point as, along with prosecco and riesling, the variety develops ripe flavours before grape sugar levels (and hence alcohol levels) climb too high. The warm Hunter region excels at the style but sometimes requires cellaring to soften the austere acids. The wine shows lifted tropical fruits with hints of musk, spice and citrus florals. A full flavoured fruit-packed palate, with ripe tropical fruits, well balanced with great mouth feel and a long crisp finish.

Tulloch Verdelho is an exciting aromatic white that was harvested at night to retain the fresh natural acidity found in the quality fruit. The wine itself has honeydew melon notes with a real citrus blossom lift. The long, engaging palate has a real zest to it with a fine acid backbone treating the drinker with a long, crisp finish.

Brookdale Semillon comes from Tyrrell's famous HVD vineyard which was planted in 1908. It nearly always produces Semillon that are floral, softer, and more approachable. The floral nose leads into a palate that is seamlessly balanced between soft Semillon fruit characters and a clean, light finish.

Great example of classic Hunter Valley Semillon. Refreshing lime and herbaceous flavours with underlying toasty honey characters starting to develop.Still aging very well with many years to come.

After a very dry Spring and Summer the Verdelho grapes were picked at the end of January with excellent natural acidity. The wine was produced exclusively from the free run juice of the press. A long clean finish results from organic grapes. Melons and citrus flavours are pronounced on the palate. To be enjoyed with spicy Asian dishes.

Lemon aromas with subtle hints of green apple come through, providing a wonderful full fruit flavoured mouthfeel.
