Taylors St Andrews Shiraz from the Clare Valley is a classic and is consistently a show-stopper. The bouquet shows rich plum and cherry fruit with earthy spice and the palate is perfectly balanced with soft silky tannins.

Yarra Yering is not only a Victorian icon, but a true Australian wine treasure. The Underhill Shiraz is sourced exclusively from the 1974 planted block of Shiraz at the western-most extremity of the vineyard. Drawn from soils with a higher clay base which has resulted in a wine of a more masculine bent offering darker fruits and spice with chewier tannins and a savoury undertone.

Deep ruby, purple in colour showing intense and creamy aromas of dark compote berry fruit with hints of blackberry, plums and mulberries peeking through. On the palate waves of the same dark berry fruit show early providing a density and voluptuousness to the mouth-feel that remains deep into the mouth and rolls out through the back. It is joined by just a hint of spice and some subtle glimpses of faint leather and sandalwood.

On the palate ripe berries, rich fruitcake and chocolate flavours can be noted, along with a silky smooth and velvety finish. Dense fully body with an aromatic display of dark fruit, spicy oak and sweet tobacco. Lovely full bodied wine that is sweet and fruity in the mouth. Very flavoursome with well balanced oak.

McLaren Vale is well known for its ability to make full bodied red wines, in particular concentrated Shiraz, and this deluxe wine is a perfect example.Deep, dark red. Plum, cherry compote and cedar oak aromas. Ripe, dense and juicy with loads of dark berry, plum and rum and raisin chocolate, ripe velvety tannins and toasty coconut oak. Jasper Hill and Ron Laughton are true pioneer's and icons in the central Victorian wine region of Heathcote. The single-vineyard Magill Estate Shiraz is intrinsically linked to Penfolds beginnings. Sourced from the original Magill vineyard on the edge of Adelaide s eastern suburbs. A beautiful bouquet of chocolate mousse, custard and blackberry give complexity to the savory notes of corned beef and olive. This 2013 vintage is medium to full-bodied palate, flavours akin to white sultana cake, dates and a touch of freshly tanned suede. A hint of French oak on the finish.
