The Hakushu Distillery is know as the 'Mountain Forest Distillery' as it stands amidst fresh streams and lush forests. Built with the notion, 'Coexisting with nature', a bird sanctuary was set up to help preserve the natural environment, thus preserving the pristine water that goes into creating the whisky. Komagatake Yakushima Aging 2019 single malt from Mars Whisky is distilled at Shinshu Distillery lin the Japanese Alps. The casks were later transferred for aging on the island of Yakushima, in the south of the country where Mars Whisky installed one of its cellars.

NOSE : Intense berry fruits merge with creamy vanilla and rich caramel with hints of freshly-baked gingerbread. TASTE : Beautifully balanced and full of character. Blackcurrant and liquorice dominate in the first instance, then chewy caramel toffee and chilli-infused chocolate come to the fore. FINISH : Rich and satisfying. Sullivans Cove XO Single Cask Brandy was born from a collaboration between Sullivans Cove Distillery and the thriving Tasmanian wine industry, when ten years ago we were given the opportunity to distil wines from the Huon Valley. Mars Komagatake Single Malt 'Wine Cask Finish' was produced in collaboration with Voyager Estate from the famous Margaret River region in Western Australia. Only 266 bottles were produced. This Single Malt was distilled at Mars Shinshu Distillery in 2015 and matured in bourbon barrels over 3 years. It was then aged for 11 months in French Troncais oak. This cask was previously used to age Voyager Estate's flagship red wine, their 2014 'MJW' Cabernet Sauvignon.
