Concentration doesn't even begin to describe this truly luxurious Barossa Shiraz. After which the wine has now begun to show off a wonderful array of warm spicy notes with that trademark mouthfilling soft tannin and gentle acidity. The 2015 Steading has a fragrancy, purity of fruit, mid-palate concentration and savoury tannin profile that makes it an exemplary wine. Vibrant aromas of violet, star anise hints of violet and spice all unfold to reveal an impressive array of underlying fruit flavours. Silky, succulent dark fruits, black olive, savoury earth, liquorice and Asian spice. These complex yet elegant flavours are all neatly interwoven with a perfect balance of acidity and supple, silky tannins. The 2015 Steading will continue to develop with time in the cellar, and provide those with patience great enjoyment well into the next decade.

From a stunning Barossa red wine vintage of low yields and exceptional quality one of the greats that produced classic Greenock Creek styled wines of robust flavour and firm structure. The Four Cuttings Shiraz is an extension of our single site approach, capturing the personality and character of single vineyard sites from four iconic Barossa sub-regions - Tanunda, Koonunga, Lyndoch & Rosedale. Our aim is to harness the contrasting characters derived from the soil profile and climate variations across these four sites to present a seamless expression of Greenock Creek wine. The nose is rich with blueberry & black cherry which flow through to the palate which is framed by soft and silken tannins. As is the Greenock Creek tradition, this wine will reward patience and cellaring, while being deliciously approachable as a young wine.

A blend of Grenache, Shiraz and Mataro, The Steading takes its name from an old Scottish term used for a group of homes on a ridge. The fruit at the heart of the wine is sourced from old bush vines. The Steading is matured for 24 months in old French oak hogsheads, yielding a wine resplendent with fragrant red forest berries, five spice and leather.

Established in 1890, Château Tanunda sits upon the site that saw the first plantings in the Barossa Valley, back in the 1840's. The grand château itself is a heritage icon and has recently been restored to it former glory. 'The Château' Shiraz is sourced solely from the Vine Vale vineyard and after picking spent 10 days on its own skins to extract colour, flavour and tannin. 18 months in a mixture of old and new French and American barriques and hogheads has produced a wine of opulence and serious concentration while still retaining balance and elegance.

Murray Street Vineyards might be a recent addition to the Barossa Valley elite, but it hasn't taken Andrew Seppelt and his team to firmly place themselves at the pointy end of quality in the Barossa. With access to some of the oldest vineyards in the Valley, Murray Street are able to produce wines like this Red Label Shiraz that are bursting with varietal aromas and flavours. Dark, purple and blueberry fruit with a fine and integrated tannin structure. A beautifully balanced wine.

Teusner Albert Shiraz is made from old vines in the northern Barossa; rich black fruits and tarry cassis with smoky undertones, the finish is long and luscious. Could easily be cellared for the medium term.
