Wise Wolf Limestone Coast Chardonnay displays a wonderful bouquet of white stone fruits, green melon and nougat. The palate is a smooth mix of white peaches, nutty flavours followed by a gentle vanilla oak.

On an estate vineyard in Wrattonbully South Australia, two sisters are producing wines which are winning hearts, palates and awards around the world. Named after the morning ritual of assembling their eight children "at the gate" in time for the school bus.This lightly oaked white was 1/3 pressed directly into new French oak for a wild yeast and a malolactic fermentation, the remaining 2/3 given a cool slow ferment and no malolactic.The blending of the traditional barrel techniques and the varietal characters maintained have created a wine that is rich in balance and structure.

This Chardonnay features aromatic expressions of stone fruit and apple, with a hint of herb and mineral characters. Medium bodied, flavours of honeysuckle and white nectarine support a creamy mouthfeel and lingering finish.

From vineyards in Padthaway , this is a delicious Chardonnay with “succulent fruit flavours with creamy texture” – and several scores of 92-93. Shanteh Wale in the Halliday Wine Companion notes its flavours of: "Mango skin, green papaya and yellow peach. Raw walnut, cream cheese and cinnamon. This wine shows aromas of citrus blossom, stone fruits and lemon curd that are complexed with more savoury notes of oatmeal and almond. The palate shows fresh peach and ripe citrus fruits, cashew and hints of spice. It has a creamy texture that is balanced with a line of fine acidity, some minerality and a lingering finish.

Welcome to our latest release in theMéthode range. V2022Méthode Oakre Chardonnay. A trial to explore the influence of different types and ages of oak barrels on the resultant wine. The grapes were harvested and quickly pressed into 3 types of oak for fermentation; One new 300L French Hogshead 300L, one old 500L Puncheon and one 225L barrique previously used for Cabernet Sauvignon. The resultant wine is complex, combining biscuit and melon fruit with a hint of ‘Ochre’ colour and tannin complexity. A savoury style of Chardonnay combines biscuit and melon fruits, with a subtle oak influence. The palate is complex with the new oak adding toastiness, the old oak extending the mid-palate and the red wine barrel adding a hint of ‘ochre’ colour and tannin complexity. An overall balanced and elegant wine that is textural and intriguing.
