This is classic Clare Riesling that has come directly from one of the finest exponents in this legendary, boutique Aussie hotspot. A very high quality, pristine Riesling, bursting with all those classic lemon, lime and floral notes.

A founding member of Australia’s First Families of Wine, Jim Barry is a legendary Clare Valley out t. Its wines run the gamut of styles (and prices) from the renowned Jim Barry Watervale Riesling ($20) through to the magnf cent ‘Armagh’ Shiraz ($325). Assyrtiko is a lipsmacking white variety originally from Greece, now grown in Clare, in this exciting first. A tantalising taste of Santorini, Australian-style – delicious! “Garrique bush and flowers bouquet; the vines have grown another dimension, as has the flavour intensity, which is almost shocking - sour lemon, fresh-cut herbs, red apple... 94pts” (Halliday).

The fruit was hand-picked in early April, the whole bunch pressed and allowed to briefly settle. This removes the heavy solids from the juice, whilst retaining many of the lighter solids that are a wonderful source of nutrient for the yeast. A small portion of the wine was fermented in large old oak vessels to add some further complexity to the wine. All of the juice was fermented by our natural wild yeasts and then racked off its lees at the end of fermentation. The wine was prepared for bottling without any further manipulation, other than filtration to retain the pristine character of our delicate Riesling. The nose of this wine shows lovely delicate floral aromatics that are typical of all Delatite Rieslings whilst the palate has layers of lemon rind and lemon blossom with fine talcy structure and a fresh acid finish. This wine can be drunk in its youth, but like all great Rieslings, it will age easily for ten years. Should be wonderful for up to twenty years, developing fabulous toasty honey characters, that Riesling is famous for.

A superb WA classic from Five Red Star Howard Park, originally set up by John Wade and named in honour of his father, now part of Burch Family Wines, a founding member of Australia’s First Families of Wines. “No barrel fermentation or lees working, the two varieties having a close natural affinity with each other. Citrus and green pea marry with passionfruit and gooseberry, citrus the lead player. One of those wines made for consumption, not nerdy wine conversation... 91 points” (Halliday).

This pale straw coloured Pinot Grigio shows distinct characteristics. It's slightly sweet on the palate with very soft acids.

A creamy textured Chardonnay with flavours of fresh honeydew melons, limes and lemons. Brilliant pale straw colour. Lifted stonefruits - white nectarine, cumquant & subtle toasty oak notes.

NOSE: Lifted aromas of passionfruit, snow pea,honeydew melon and lemon citrus are complemented by aromas of dried herbs and fresh lemongrass. PALATE: The wine is crisp and clean with flavours of tropical fruits balanced with a vibrant citrus lemon acidity with subtle hints. Subtle crisp varietalcharacters complement the intense fruit flavoursleaving the palate fresh and clean. FOOD: The perfect partner to seafood, spicy Asian dishes and white meats.
