An intense nose of blackberry, black olive, liquorice and cigar box characters leads to a powerful palate of rich blackberry, olive tapenade and vanillin spice with dense, powerful and grippy tannins. Fermented for 7 10 days in traditional open top fermenters the wine undergoes malo-lactic fermentation in French and American hogsheads followed by twenty months oak maturation. Enjoy now or will reward careful cellaring for 10+ years.

Crafted from grapes sourced from only the old and gnarled vines from some of the Barossa Valley's most historic sites, this wine demonstrates the living history inherited from this region's forefathers and their legacy for quality. Deepening amber in colour with tints of ruby. There are enticing aromas of dark chocolate and warming spice leading to a luscious palate of concentrated dark forest berry fruits derived from old Barossa vines - layered with complexity of spice from time spent maturing in oak barrels, silky tannins and a long finish.

Colour is deep red. The nose shows aniseed, tar, FruChocs and spicy oak. The fine palate entry has mulberry, cranberry, aniseed and liquorice flowing delicately with Rhone-like spicy, chewy, savoury tannins.

Full bodied yet velvety texture with plums and raspberries dominating. Hints of sweet spice, black olive pepper add to the complexity.

The dense purple red colour highlights the aroma of dark cherry, blackberry and cedar oak. The palate is full of intense dark fruits, with supporting mocha oak, sweet spices and hints of black pepper. The velvety tannins support the fruit and focus the length of flavours to produce a seamless wine with the potential to age for 10 or more years

Bin 138 draws its inspiration from the wines of Southern Rhône in France, where shiraz, grenache and mataro (mourvèdre) are blended in varying proportions to create full-bodied wines possessing rich and heady perfume. The nose of the 2017 vintage is comfortably embedded in the savoury spectrum with scents of charcuterie cold meats and a balsamic reduction, while fresh fruits elude with air. Totally opaque black heart with a deep dark red black hue. Elevated scents of ripe blackberry, liquorice and dark plum flow from the glass followed by hints of dark chocolate, vanillin oak and spice. Rich blackberry, liquorice and dark plum fruits saturate the palate and have a lush feel with some blueberry, subtle dark chocolate, vanillin cedar and spice lying underneath. Velvety tannins provide ample structure. Finishes very long and opulent with a touch of refinement. Drink over the next 6-8 years. Alc. 14%
