UTOPOS Shiraz, Barossa Valley Utopos is a project by Kym Teusner (Teusner wines) and Neil Panuja, making distinctly Barossan wines out of their vineyard. It is named Utopos in reference to the root word of Utopia, indicating just how special this vineyard is. The Shiraz is a blend or 90% Shiraz and 10% Mararo (from vines planted between 1974 and 2000), aged in 40% new French oak hogsheads for 24 months. The result is an incredibly concentrated, deep wine, luscious and smooth on the palate, with brilliant balance and length.

A fantastic 2018 Shiraz from the Barossa Valley, made from 50 year old vines, Thomas white's best signature collection. Basket pressed and aged in seasoned French oak. The fragrant bouquet shows blackberry, mulberry, vanilla oak and cake spice aromas, followed by a wonderfully weighted palate that's plump and flavoursome.

Sourced from specially selected vineyards in central Barossa Valley around Nuriootpa. Matured for 2 years in 50% new oaks and 50% 1-year-old oaks. Using Mixed French and American Hogshead. Elegant rose and violet nose with bright mulberry and cherry notes. The detailed, balanced and restrained palate shows good depth of fruit flavour while the palate shows subtle tannin and structure. They set this aside to make Prämie, the wine that defines the best of the vintage and the land on which it was grown. Intense primary fresh plum flavours show again on the palate, where they hold their presence all the way through to roll out soft and pillowy at the finish. A firmly present, but fine tannin framework provides just enough focus and lift for the fruit to ensure added complexity, but retaining vibrancy to the mouth flavours of this Shiraz.

The Reserve Shiraz is grown from a single estate vineyard in Stockwell and displays aromas and flavours that are fresh and lively with juicy fruit tones that are hard to find in 2007. Amazing what can be achieved with rigorous fruit selection and detailed winemaking.

Nitschke Block Shiraz displays rich, opulent fruit with a fantastic balance of texture. Lifted notes of greengage plums are first to emerge from what is a tightly-wound wine. There is also a warming spice element of subtle white pepper as well as some dark cherry and plum flavours.

This Two Hands Shiraz is full bodied but very buoyant. Bright flavours are lifted and accented by notes of fresh blue and blackberry with hints of plum. Creamy complexity through the palate adds depth and interesting texture. Palate has great depth and a coating nature but doesnt feel heavy. Tannins start mid-palate and leave a lovely rolling chewy nature. Spicy through the finish with vanilla and sweet baking spices.

Made by Ben Glaetzer, the Anaperenna Shiraz Cab is not only striking in label, it's also striking on the palate. GISA ELLIPSE RESERVE BAROSSA VALLEY SHIRAZ is the pinnacle wine in the GISA portfolio.The fruit is 100% Single Vineyard Barossa Valley shiraz from the Copper Hill vineyard, owned by Denis Rohrlach near Williamstown. This vineyard is a single cordon vineyard at 450 m above sea level. The low yielding old vines produce a fruit that is dense, dark and concentrated in its flavour.Traditional winemaking techniques including hand plunged open fermenters were used to extract the best from the fruit. Post ferment the wine was pressed off and entombed in French and American for a period of 12 months. The wine received minimal intervention from this point.A tight structured wine with layers of complex fruits, full round mouthfeel, fine approachable tannins and good length. Whilst closed on the nose when initially opened the wine benefits from decanting and time to breath.True to its roots this is a ripe, rich, full flavoured Barossa Shiraz.The bottled result is a wine personifies the GISA philosophy.
