The Hibiki 17 Years Old whisky is a meticulous blend of over thirty of the finest single malts from Suntory's two distilleries, Yamazaki and Hakushu, and grain whisky from their Chita distillery, most with an age of well over 17 years.Created in 1989, Suntory artisans perfect this harmonious blend to create a full symphony of delicate flavours and blossoming aromas. The design of the bottle symbolises the 24 seasons of the Japanese lunar calendar.In 2018, Suntory Whisky announced the Hibiki 17 Years Old would be discontinued making this scarce bottle a rare collector's item of enchanting value. Significant wood aroma, Mizunara Oak, dark ripe fruit like blueberry, cinnamon. Sweet malty note with significant woody flavor like sandalwood, that brings out different level of spices. White Oak Eigashima Sherry Finish Single Malt Japanese Whisky

White Oak Whisky Distillery have released two new whiskies in 2020 to celebrate the 101 year anniversary of receiving their licence to distil whisky (obtained in 1919). These releases are named after the parent company that established the White Oak Distillery - Eigashima Shuzo. The labelling and bottles are reminiscent of whisky of the time (101 years ago) and feature the old Eigashima logo and trademark. The Eigashima Single Malt Whisky is made from 100% UK Malt. It is a vatting of malt whiskies distilled between 2009 and 2014 aged in sherry casks.

The Shin 10 Year Old Pure Malt Mizunara Oak Finish Japanese Whisky

The 10 Year Old pure malt has significant sweet aroma of dark dried fruit, like raisin, dates come forward on the nose, and with a touch of vanilla. Sweet vanilla and dark dried fruit followed by sandalwood, and oriental spices. All natural without colouring. Non-chill filtered.

The Shinobu 15 Year Old Mizunara Oak Finish Pure Malt Japanese Whisky

The Shinobu 15 year old Mizunara Cask Whisky is hand crafted by master distiller, Mr Usami. First matured in ex-Sherry and ex-Bourbon casks, it is then finished in Japanese Mizunara oak. Mizunara is an expensive oak which is hard to craft into barrels, but it imparts incredible flavours on the spirit of Shinobu. This pure malt has been maturing for no less than 15 years which has allowed the spirit to take on some very inspiring characteristics. The result is a unique fusion of flavours and dynamic explosion on the palate yet so smooth and easy to drink. Deep rich in colour and complex in flavour, mellow oak wood aromas lead to flavours of honey and molasses, hints of blueberry and deep tones of the Mizunara oak. The palate has subtle ripe fruit, lemon zest, leather and cinnamon with a hint of sweet malt and aromas of fruity oak barrels.

Togouchi 15 Year Old Blended Japanese Whisky

Not strictly a Japanese whisky, Togouchi source grain whiskies from Scotland & Canada and aged them in Japan. This is a blend from Chugoku Jozo, who mature their whiskies in a tunnel rather than a warehouse. The temperature of the tunnel is always 15 degrees while the temperature of the cellar at the headquarters in Hatsukaichi city is a little higher than that. Nutty, spicy whisky with a lovely butterscotch mouth feel. On the palate it expresses vanilla sweetness and a fine peat iodine, with hazelnuts and chocolate on the finish. Almost feels like a whisky/bourbon hybrid.

Togouchi 15 years

Togouchi 15 year old, is the newest expression of Chugoku Jozo blending expertise. This blended whisky with a delicate and elegant nose reveals a rich and round texture subtly coated with fruity notes of citrus fruits and yellow fruits, but also spicy notes. On the palate it expresses vanilla sweetness and a fine peat iodine, while in the final it will leave you some notes of dark chocolate and hazel in retro olfaction. This whisky is the result of the blending of grain and malt whisky of different ages and origins, including Scotland, that had undergone a complementary aging in Japan in an exceptional place ; an old railway tunnel with the ideal atmosphere for a balanced aging.

Togouchi 9 years Japanese Blended Whisky

From the town of Togouchi, made by Chugoku Jozo in underground tunnels. Chugoku Jozo is a Japanese brewery located near Hiroshima. It has been making liqueurs, sake, and the traditional Japanese spirit shochu since 1918. For decades, Chugoku Jozo has developed a knack for making some of the most beautiful spirits in the world. But it wasn't until 1990 that the brewery decided to dabble with whisky by creating its Togouchi line. The master blender carefully chose the distillates (malt and grain) which would be sent to Japan, grown, and blended in the Japanese fashion. The 9 years old refers to the minimum time each whiskies in the blend spent in barrels. NOSE: rather intense and pleasant, dispersing aromas of yellow fruits. Palate: sweet spices, with the appearance of fruity flavors of citrus. In the end, peat and smoke come nicely together. Good stuff.

The Shinobu 10 Year Old Pure Malt Japanese Whisky

Fresh wood barrel dominates the spirit with a touch of vanilla and flowers that bring to breath of nectar, maltose, tones of fruits citrus, Mizunara oak & coffee beans; medium wood intergration, then finish with a sweet aftertaste of maltose. Very smooth, rounded full pallet and easy to drink.
