Château Figeac Saint-Émilion

Château Figeac is a wine estate that had a very long history. It was once part of the Cheval Blanc estate, whichs soils was well known to be two-thirds of gravel, allowing Cab Sauv, Cab Franc and Merlot to grow flourishingly in the area. The 2010 Figeac, had a beautiful complexity to enjoy now or the longevity to cellar for those who prefers. Wine will benefit from decanting.

Woodlands Margaret

The colour is bright crimson, deep rose red. The nose is very expressive with notes of mulberry, brambly red berry fruits, and toasty vanilla French oak. The palate is supple and rich, with a seamless carry between red berry fruits, oak, and mineral tannin. The finish is cool, a nice contrast to the richness of the palate.

Château Domaine De Chevalier Pessac-Léognan

From an estate reputed for its ability to produce exceptional white and red wines, this red offering from 2010 is 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot. The Graves producer has the ''ace in the hole'' of noted winemaker-consultant Stephane Derenencourt who has been increasing the quality of the wines through his tenure. The wines have enjoyed a twenty year ascension in the ranks of Bordeaux lovers, noted for their more modest alcohol, medium-bodied nature and freshness of fruit character. Though set to the lighter spectrum, elegance is the calling card in 2010.

LOS VASCOS CHAGUAL CABERNET SAUVIGNON

Owned by Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite, Viña Los Vascos is located in the Central valley of Chile, in the Colchagua region, between the Andes and the Coastal Mountain Range, 200 km south of Santiago. Chagual is the organic wine range of Los Vascos. The chagual (Puya chilensis) is a species over two metres tall endemic to the coastal region of Chile, and it is also a model in terms of its contribution to its ecosystem. Like this majestic plant, the Chagual organic wines represent the harmonious relationship between the vineyard and the community of Los Vascos. Ruby red colour with an intense aromatic profile of black cherry, strawberry, blackberry yogurt and raspberry. Subsequently, spicy undertones of black pepper and laurel emerge, bringing freshness and complexity. On the palate, it shows good volume, with gentle tannins, refreshing acidity, creating a juicy and persistent wine that will evolve gracefully in the bottle. A wine that reflects the excellent quality of a vintage with ideal climatic conditions.

Chateau Tanunda Grand Barossa Cabernet

lifted aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry and vanilla are accompanied by vibrant dark berry fruits on the palate. The finish is long with fine grained tannins from sixteen months maturation in a combination of French and American oak.

Once & Well Once & Well Marg River Cabernet Sauvignon

Wild black cherry and cassis preface a classical dark fruited, savoury red wine from our West Coast. The fine tannins frame a very complete wine.

Elephant In The Room Cabernet Sauvignon

Elephant In The Room Cabernet Sauvignon has a medium brick red in colour with a lifted and expressive nose of red berries,blackcurrants and distinct varietal tobacco leaf and forest floor. The palate is fruit-driven and vibrant with an open and approachable core of supple berried fruits, plums and cassis building to a ripe and mouth-filling back palate. A perfect each way betexcellent to drink now but able to improve with up to five years cellaring.
